Along with the CA Intermediate and CA Final exams, the CA Foundation Examination is offered twice a year in May and November. Today, a large number of commerce students apply for CA’s entrance test every year to the CA Foundation for the coveted post of CA. As of July 1st, 2017, the ICAI revised its curriculum and replaced CPT with the CA Foundation. NOTE:- Those candidates who want to pursue the CA Foundation course have to make the registration online through ICAI Website, i.e.- icai.org. Only those who complete the CA Foundation Course 2024 application form will be eligible to take the CA Foundation Exam in 2024. If for some reason you are unable to pass the test after one or two tries, your registration will remain active. You have up to six tries because the CA Foundation Registration is good for three years. If you cannot pass the exam in three years, you can revalidate your registration for a further three years by depositing an amount of Rs 300/- as revalidation fees.

Eligibility Criteria For CA Foundation Registration 2024
Only after passing the 12th examination administered by an impartial organization created by the Central Government and established by Law are you eligible to apply for CA Foundation Registration. Prior, a student could register for CPC (Common Proficiency Course) after clearing the 10th Class examinations. However, as of right now, a student can only sign up for the CA Foundation Course after sitting for his or her 12th-grade exams, and after passing those exams, he or she will be qualified to sit for the CA Foundation exam in 2024.
The most significant feature of this exam is that there is no age restriction; you can register to become a CA at any age, and there is no provision for this with this exam. for any kind of reservation for pass score and campus placement. That further enhances its reputation. The CA Foundation Exam application deadline is four months out. A candidate must complete a four-month study period before taking the CA Foundation Exam.
However, ICAI has allowed provisional registration for 12th-class students for the November 2024 CA Foundation Exam. Due to the rescheduled state board and central board exams, students in the 12th class are eligible for this provisional registration in two circumstances:
- Students who have taken one or more board exams and have a valid admit card issued by a state board or central board in India.
- Students who have a valid admit card, given by the state board or central board of examination, yet have not appeared in any of the board exams.
So, instead of the mark sheet for the 12th class, students have to submit a scanned copy of their admit card. When their result is announced, students have to submit their mark sheets as well. How to Submit an Application for the CA Foundation Course in 2024
Those who are applying for the CA Foundation Registration for the first time and have some doubts so don’t worry, we have elaborated on the CA Foundation registration process step by step so you can better understand the procedure without making any mistakes. So for further just follow the steps and you will see it is an easy task.
Step 1:-
The student who wants to register themselves for the first time has to Click here. The screen shown below will open when you click the link. After that, you must correctly enter all the information requested on the screen.
Step 2:-
When you have finished filling out all the fields, click the submit button to get an OTP sent to the phone number you provided.
Step 3:-
You will soon get an OTP for validation at the number you provided.
Step 4:-
Enter the OTP to complete the validation and Login Process.
Step 5:-
After the OTP validations are finished, the applicant will receive login information through email or SMS so they can proceed with completing the CA Foundation Registration Process. Click here to log in and proceed with the process. The screen below will appear after clicking.
Step 6:-
After successfully logging in, You have to provide other necessary details in the registration form. Below are the further details which you have to provide  to complete the CA Foundation 2024 registrationÂ

Step 7:-
After filling in all the details, click on ‘Save and Next’
Step 8:-
In the next window you will the form which require details about your 10th and 12th qualification, such as a name in the Board exam, Roll no., Year and month, and Result details (Marks, Percentage/CGPA). In order to complete the form, you have to upload the scanned documents of your 10th and 12th Mark-sheet or 12th admit card in case of provisional registration.
Step 9:-
In next step you have to upload your photo and a scanned copy of your signature specimen ( must be on white blank paper). The aspect ratio of the photograph would be width-21 cm and length-27 cm. The size of scanned documents should be less then 1 Mb in a PDF or jpeg format. Always check your details and document properly to avoid rejection.
Step 10:-
The last step in this process is “payment” of the CA Foundation Registration Fees. After submitting all the details you will be redirected to the payment gateway. Now you have various option to make payment such as Net-banking, Credit Card, Debit Card. After successful completion of the payment CA Foundation course fees, the system will automatically generate along with the transaction message.
Step 11:-
Take out the print out of the generated and filled form of the CA Foundation Course. After this attach all the required document and post them to the postal address of ICAI. After successfully complete the Registration process ICAI will send you the CA Foundation Study Material at your given address through the Centralized Dispatch System (CDS).
Documents You Required for CA Foundation Registration 2024

Registration Letter of CA Foundation 2024
ICAI issues CA Foundation registration letters to all the students who have applied for CA Foundation Course. This registration letter arrives at your address within 1 month.In the event that you have not received your letter, you can obtain information regarding it at the nearest regional office.
How to download CA Foundation Registration Letter Online.
Students who want to download their CA Foundation registration letter 2023 online have to visit ICAI’s authority site. Click on the e-services given at the top on the right side of the website.
- After clicking on the e-services, you will find the reprint letter under Head Members and Students.
- There you have to select the type of letter you want to print i.e. registration for the CA Foundation course.
- After selecting the letter type you have to select the candidate type i.e. student.
- Now, you need to enter your registration number and then the date of birth.
- After submitting all the above details, you can take out the print of your letter.
Why CA Foundation Registration Letter Required Before the Exam
ICAI has always been advising that along with your admit card, you should also keep the registration letter with you. It takes one month for the registration letter to reach your registered address. If the admission letter is not available, you can appear in the CA Foundation Examination through a registration letter after some process.
How to Check the Status of CA Foundation Registration letter Online
